Jayasuriya Finds His Form Again!

Jayasuriya had not had a very good IPL tournament so far, but that all changed today, when he just went berserk against the Chennai SuperKings. He smashed 11 sixes and 9 fours in all, carrying the Mumbai Indians to victory comfortably. Jayasuriya’s innings was worth watching today, he was absolutely undeterred against the moving ball or slow batting at the other end, he just kept hitting his sixes. In the last over, he scored 6 6 6 4 4! Fantastic! Jayasuriya’s “Wagon Wheel” was looking like a fountain by the time he was done, with sixes all over the ground!

Sachin, on the other hand, had a rather uneventful debut today. He scored just a few runs, and earlier in the day, he also miscalculated the bowling attack. He used up all his strike bowlers earlier on, leaving the last 5 overs to inexperienced bowlers, resulting in the Chennai SuperKings scoring 46 runs off the last 5 overs.

Well, this must give the Mumbai Indians much needed confidence. The team is suddenly looking very strong, moving up the tables steadily.
